There are several caves, caverns, pagodas, many stairs and 2 spectacular viewing points. They are also home to several Buddhist sanctuaries and Hindu grottoes which are much visited places of worship for the local population. The Marble Mountain has become one of the must-see destinations for those who enjoy the beauty of nature and want a respite from the busy urban areas.At the footof the mountains there is a traditional marble fine art village which is over 300 years old. You will admire its talented craftsmen, their creativity and their uniquely beautiful works.
Hoi An Ancient Town was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999, and a visit to this beautiful old-world town is a highlight of any tour of Vietnam. Hoi An Ancient Town is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. The buildings and street plan reflect the influences; indigenous, Chinese, Japanese and European, that have combined to produce this unique heritage site. Today Hoi An is a bustling town full of beautiful architecture including 844 structures protected as historical landmarks. It is a picturesque town set on the banks of the Thu Bon River. The Ancient Town is small enough to cover easily on foot with lots of beautiful buildings, interesting alleyways, the Japanese Bridge, and the river to explore and photograph. There are many wonderful restaurants and street food vendors, a bustling market, as well as a wide variety of shops, including the tailors and shoe makers that make up part of Hoi An's appeal and reputation.Our tour will take you to visit the Marble Mountains first, then we will travel to Hoi An Ancient Town where we will visit some of Hoi An’s historic buildings before enjoying a meal at one of the local vendors by the river. After dinner we will go on a 30 minutes boat trip so you can see the beauty of Hoi An from the river at night. You will then be given an hour's free time to explore this delightful town for yourself. During the course of this tour your guide will provide you with information about the Marble Mountains explaining the many different religious sites and pagodas that make up the mountains. You will also hear about their history and some of the legends and stories that provide fascinating background to the culture and beliefs of the Vietnamese people. In Hoi An your guide will tell you about Hoi An, past and present and take you to places of historical importance and of beauty within the town, as well as escorting you on the boat trip on the river.
